Driving Lessons trailer

Belt up and take this coming-of-age comedy drama for a spin

What happens when you sling together Julie Walters (a British acting institution), Rupert Grint (the one from Harry Potter who can act) and a script from Jeremy Brock (the fella who penned Mrs Brown)? You get a touching, dramedy called Driving Lessons, that’s what.

Grint plays Ben, a 17-year-old whose life is kept in check by his uptight parents until one summer when he’s employed by Evie (Walters), an eccentric woman with a childish streak. Evie turns Ben’s life upside down and forces him to take a long, hard look at himself.

Helmed and scribbled by first-time feature director Jeremy Brock, Driving Lessons handbrake-turns into cinemas today.
