Oliver Stone has been gathering up his cast for George W Bush biopic W as fast as a politician makes dodgy election promises. He’s just added James Cromwell and Ellyn Burstyn as George Herbert Walker Bush (AKA President Bush I) and Barbara Bush to his already-cast Josh Brolin and Elizabeth Banks.
Now it looks like he’s got an offer out to Casino Royale’s Jeffrey Wright to play Colin Powell, and, even more intriguingly, he’s seriously considering Robert Duvall as Vice President Dick Cheney. You know, the one who shot the old lawyer bloke in the face.
Should be a choice role for Duvall if he signs. EW has been tracking the story.
