His day job is acting alongside Steve Carell in the US version of The Office, which has been enough to win Rainn Wilson plenty of small movie roles. He’s had some hits (Juno) and misses (My Super Ex-Girlfriend), but now he’s moving on up to a lead role in what looks like it was written for Jack Black.
The Rocker is the tale of Robert “Fish” Fishman, who used to be with supergroup Vesuvius before they erupted. Sadly, he was fired before the group hit it big and now he’s a bitter, twisted loner. But his nephew’s band needs a drummer for the prom and before long, Fish is rediscovering his love of music, of life and of groupies.
