Shoving her career forward and grabbing a role that won’t see her wearing a hoodie for once, Ellen Page is going the corset route to play Jane Eye in a new BBC Films production.
She’ll play the titular role, a mousy governess who ends up falling for her taciturn employer Mr Rochester, who’s hiding a terrible dark secret.
There’s no director attached yet, but Moira Buffini has already bashed out the script. Variety has gotten a case of the vapours over the story.
