Emily Browning added to Sucker Punch

She’ll replace Amanda Seyfried

Emily Browning has been picked to head up the cast of Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch, where she’ll replace Amanda Seyfried, who had to drop out due to scheduling issues.

The actress - seen in Lemony Snicket and The Uninvited - is joining the likes of Abbie Cornish, Vanessa Hudgens, Emma Stone and Evan Rachel Wood in the fantasy action drama.

Penned by Snyder and Steve Shibya, Punch sees a girl (Seyfried) confined to a mental institution who finds her safety under threat.

To protect herself, she creates an alternative reality, which Snyder is constantly describing as “Alice In Wonderland with machine guns.”

With his cast finally slotting into place, Snyder can keep pre-production rolling for a planned September shoot.
