Yes, there’s yet another sports comedy heading your way – following Blades Of Glory, and probably Jackie Moon. It’s called Tour de Frank, and we’d put good money on Will Ferrell being approached to star at the very least.
Universal have optioned Tour, and told Bruce and Evan Almighty producer Tom Shadyac that he has to sort it out.
He’ll be joined by fellow producer Michael Bostick, who said he and Shadyac liked the project because, "it's a great star vehicle for a comedian." Oh, and, "Tom is an avid cyclist, so it was such a natural fit," apparently.
So could we be about to see the acting debut of one of Hollywood’s most proficient producers? Actually, probably not.
