It’s one of the most expensive comedies of all time – but if the trailer’s anything to go by, it’ll have been worth every buck.
Forget Jim Carrey, Steve Carell looks set to be the new king of chuckles, fulfilling the promise he showed in The 40 Year Old Virgin with Evan Almighty seeing him playing to his strengths; mixing slapstick with deadpan delivery and the odd lunatic gibber.
We particularly like the ‘God bless America’ bit, but you can take your own pick by watching the trailer here. Evan Almighty is released on 3 August and, quite frankly, we can’t wait.
