Evangeline Lilly in talks to join Ant-Man

In line to play Paul Rudd’s love interest

Ant-Man could be on the brink of adding another major name to its growing ensemble, with Evangeline Lilly said to be in talks to join the cast.

According to Variety, Lilly is top of Edgar Wright’s hit-list to play Paul Rudd’s love interest, a non-canon character created specifically for the movie.

The report claims that not only will Lilly’s potential character be someone who catches the eye of Scott Lang… she will also be the daughter of Hank Pym!

That should muddy the relationship between Pym and Lang even further, and looks to be a nice twist on the subject material by screenwriter Joe Cornish.

Directed by Wright and co-starring Michael Douglas, Ant-Man is scheduled to scuttle into US cinemas on 17 July 2015, with a UK date to be confirmed in due course.

Does Lilly sound a good fit for the part? Tell us, below!

She would be kind of perfect for Wasp and an awesome addition to Avengers sequels. Scarlett Johanson, Elizabeth Olsen and Evangeline Lilly as the three female members of the team sounds awesome. so Marvel... go for it!

Regardless of whether Lilly will play Wasp or not it's nice to see her career is finally taking off. Just a pity Josh Holloway and Mathew Fox haven't had much luck since Lost ended.
