The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo hits Blu-ray and DVD next week, and ahead of the release we’ve got hold of some exclusive behind-the-scenes footage.
The first clip, which you can watch above, sees director David Fincher and his star Rooney Mara (The Social Network) discussing the creation of the intoxicatingly enigmatic Lisbeth Salander.
Mara talks about the decision to leave her friends and family behind to become a Stockholm-based loner in preparation for the shoot. Fincher also comments on the slow-burn appeal of Mara’s Lisbeth, who he compares to, of all things, E.T.
And, perhaps even more intriguingly, we’ve also got some footage of Fincher and Mara working together on a scene in Lisbeth’s flat, which reveals the director’s meticulous eye for detail and provides a fascinating glimpse at the pair’s working process.
Watch it now:
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is released on Blu-ray and DVD on 23 April.
