Exclusive Dead Man Down Poster

Colin Farrell + Guns = Moody

If it's one thing Colin Farrell knows well, it's bad-ass action roles.

So we're happy to see our exclusive poster for Dead Man Down shows him back at his moody, gun-toting best.

Dead Man Down boasts a pretty impressive cast and crew, with Noomi Rapace, Dominic Cooper, and Terrence Howard joining Farrell for a crime thriller directed by the original The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo's director Niels Arden Oplev.

The plot finds crime boss Alphonse (Howard) struggling to work out who dumped a dead gang member in his mansion's freezer. Mobsters Darcy (Cooper) and Victor (Farrell) start a-sleuthing, all the while neighbour Beatrice (Rapace) complicates matters after discovering Victor's dark secret.

Dead Man Down opens in UK cinemas from May 3 2013.

Apart from the rubbish Seagal-like title, it looks good. The sort of fun Friday night movie Statham gets away with.

^Nothing is wrong with the title. It's a Pulp title.

Looks like WWE Studios are starting to finally make decent movies.

Yeah; it seems that they've realised that they don't have to have their wrestlers in starring roles. It takes the pressure off the wrestler (who, if he / she sucks, doesn't have the weight of the movie on their shoulders, but if they are successful in their role, will end up with "surprise praise") and allows the actual movie stars to carry the film. I did enjoy See No Evil, The Marine and 12 Rounds, but the comedies have sucked really badly. With this and The Call, they may have turned a corner... but the new Leprechaun movie will be the acid test.
