Famke Janssen hints at X-Men return

Will Jean Grey appear in Days Of Future Past?

Following hot on the heels of Patrick Stewart’s teasing comments last week, Famke Janssen has also suggested that an X-Men return might be on the cards for her character, Jean Grey.

The last we saw of her, Jean was lying dead in the arms of Wolverine, having been almost entirely overtaken by the Phoenix entity. However, Janssen suggests their might be life left in the character yet.

“One never knows,” said Janssen. “Jean Grey, the Phoenix... she finds a way to reincarnate herself constantly, so one never knows. Stay tuned.” Could she crop up in Days Of Future Past, then? Given that there are separate timelines involved, it’s a possibility.

Days Of Future Past is the forthcoming sequel to X-Men: First Class, and will see Kitty Pryde sending a message from the future to her younger self warning the X-Men that the assassination of Senator Kelly will lead to the rise of the Sentinels, and the internment of mutants into prison camps.

Directed by Matthew Vaughn from a script by frequent collaborator Jane Goldman (among others), the film will open in the UK on 18 July 2014. Maybe with some familiar old faces in tow…

Would you welcome a return of the old guard to the X-Men series? Tell us, below!

Hmm, usually these are just fantasist rumours, but 2 ex-cast members hinting at the same thing.....interesting....

"Jean Grey, the Phoenix... she finds a way to reincarnate herself constantly", she's clearly knows nothing about her character. Although Jean and Stewart's Prof returning sounds awesome, as long as it's done properly.

I stopped reading at reincarnate. I know it's a comic book movie but there needs to be some sort of realism.

This could/should be an awesome film, and with Famke & Patrick both hinting at appearances; the possibilities of plot points are limitless. I cannot wait. First class is probably my second favourite X-men film and it just blew me away.

This would be cool, a "reboot" from a prequel, ignore xmen 3, this will end up being like star trek, we have the proper ones, then we have the younger ones and now we will have reboot with the proper cast IF they get called back, im sure they will or better be
