Famke Janssen responds to Wolverine rumours

Exclusive: “I hope X-Men 10 comes around…”

X-Men: Days Of Future Past has cast several names from the previous films in its time-jumping narrative, though one famous face yet to sign up is Famke Janssen.

And that’s not the only X-Men movie in production. The Wolverine is getting its claws out for a standalone sequel (set after the events of X-Men: The Last Stand).

In Total Film magazine issue 204, we catch up with Janssen - who played telekinetic X-woman Jean Grey in the franchise's first three installments - and we asked her to address the rumours surrounding a cameo in The Wolverine...

“I heard! I’m very excited about those rumours [laughs]. After a three-year hiatus and not being able to work because I was developing my own movie, any roles are welcome. So I hope X-Men 10 comes around, with Jean Grey in a wheelchair.”

For more from Famke Janssen, pick up the brand-new issue 204 of Total Film magazine, which is on sale now.

And, Total Film magazine issue 204 comes with four incredible free posters: including Pacific Rim, Man Of Steel, Oblivion and The World's End.

no but Famke Janssen is very best in X-men Days of Future Past 2014 as bigger role, because in X-men 3 Last Stand she died as Phoenix who turned into Dark Phoenix, she must rise again in X-men Days of Future Past as White Phoenix of the Crown, because Jean Grey's story isn't end until Dark Phoenix, it's still further about White Phoenix of the Crown with a white one new costume, her power is more powerful than she was before as Phoenix who turned into Dark Phoenix in X3, Phoenix would return to Earth during the mini-series X-Men: Phoenix - Endsong, where it resurrected Jean Grey from her grave in X3. It is not long before she remembers what she has come for — Scott Summers (a.k.a. Cyclops). She needs to feed from the energy from his optic blasts, and confused by Jean's emotions thinks she's in love with Scott. She realizes Scott is in love with Emma Frost (former White Queen of the Hellfire Club and headmistress of the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning). Through a number of incidents, including Jean having Wolverine kill her a number of times when the tragedy happened in X3, Jean then declares that she and the Phoenix is truly one entity now, have transcended into the White Phoenix of the Crown. This is signified by a new white and gold costume.... Charlize Theron is perfect to be Emma Frost for X-men Days of Future Past 2014 movie, In this reality, Emma was the former White Queen of the Hellfire Club, but retreated to a technological base off the coast of India after a majority of the mutant population was wiped out. She sold her telepathic abilities in services of mutant leaders and was eventually approached by Magneto to save Wolverine, Emma managed to restore Logan's mind and joined Magneto, They continued to operate out of Emma's base with other members as the "X-Men", Emma really will have to defeat Apocalypse and Sentinel now... James Marsden should be alive with Jean's help after she rise from her grave Keanu Revees would be OK as Gambit Ian Somerhalder would be OK as Havok Terry Crew would be OK as Bishop Tyler Mane must be back as Sabretooth Vinnie Jones must be back as Juggernaut Clive Owen would be OK as Avalanche Kevin Durand is best to be in there Ryan Reynolds is best to be in there most people request main villains are Apocalypse Mister Sinister Holocaust Exodus Archangel X-men Days of Future Past also is dealing with Age of Apocalypse plot... it's based on Age of Apocalypse...

I think you guys are thinking to much into this. Days of Future Past the film is going to be very different from the comic run just like the past x-men movies have very little reference to the comic therefore I don't think they will introduce new x-men in the future or any major plot twists. However I do agree hypothetically it would be cool to have acknowledgement of some of the major events happen in the comic mentioned in the future time line of this film. But personally I hope Jean Grey and Cyclops remain dead , not because I don't like them, but because they future and past x-men need something to fight for. Ie the lives of the "lost" x-men. PS Apocalypse / Mister Sinister films would be epic (potential future films)

Honestly I wouldn't mind Jean Grey and Storm being recast now.

I think a cameo by Jean would be perfect considering this movie is set after her death; it would have a huge impact on Logan. I can’t wait to see if she will appear, and during the wait, I have been watching everything X-Men using my DISH Anywhere app. I always use my app when I travel for my job at DISH, it lets me stream my On Demand movies right to my tablet. Spending my downtime at the airport refreshing on the details of Logan’s story has been entertaining, and it also makes me think that an appearance of Jean is necessary.
