Fangoria sets up horror studio

Gore hungry mag to make flicks

Fangoria, possibly bored of writing about horror flicks, has decided to start making horror flicks, enlisting Brian Witten, who previously produced for Paramount and New Line, to take charge of the projects.

The production company will be the latest addition to a roster that includes the magazine itself (currently approaching its 30th birthday), a TV site, a radio show and an Awards show.

Brian’s been knee-deep in the horror business before, helping develop the Friday The 13th remake that Fangoria are so excited about, as well as overseeing less gore-friendly flicks like The Wedding Singer and Mission: Impossible III.

Look forward to seeing a gore-fest starring Adam Sandler and Tom Cruise in a cinema near you one day. We imagine it’ll get good reviews in one magazine, at the very least...
