Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire is to pen the forth instalment in the Spiderman franchise. See - we said you wouldn't get it.
The Hollywood Reporter claims that Lindsay-Abaire, who won a Pulitzer in 2007 for his drama Rabbit Hole, is in final negotiations to write the movie.
The scribe has previously said in interviews that his plays tend to be "peopled with outsiders in search of clarity," so it sounds like a good match with Peter Parker.
All the gang is here
Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire have been signed as director and star respectively, whilst Kirsten Dunst is also expected to return to play Mary Jane.
Producer Laura Ziskin also wants the movie to be released in May 2011, nine years after the original Spiderman hit cinemas.
