"We need a knife"

Silent Hill: Revelation 3D has released a first official still alongside a brand new clip, in which Adelaide Clemens and Kit Harington narrowly avoid being chopped up by a group of freaky nurses.

The new film is apparently based on the storyline of the third video game in the series, with Clemens starring as Heather Mason, a teenage girl on the run from the weird and sinister forces that seem hell-bent on following her and her father (Sean Bean).

On the eve of her 18th birthday, Heather is awakened from terrible nightmares to discover her father is missing, and that things are even more F'd up than she had initially anticipated…

Take a look at the new clip, below…

Pretty spooky stuff, no? The Silent Hill franchise has always done a fine line in disturbing imagery, and those horribly jerky nurse-things are up there with some of its spookiest creations. You can sympathise with Heather when she exclaims, "We need a knife!"

Directed by Michael J. Bassett, the film can boast an impressive supporting cast including Radha Mitchell, Carrie-Anne Moss and Deborah Unger, a fairly tidy ensemble for a videogame adaptation. Silent Hill: Revelation 3D opens in the UK on 31 October 2012.

What do you make of the new clip? Tell us, below!

Oh no, the nurses respond to noise, so lets have a conversation and make as much noise as possible. How c**p. Christophe Gans made the nurses seriously creepy, but these were a joke. I hope the rest of the film isn't as laughable.

I wish I could successfully make one of those nurses costumes for Halloween or even Comic-Con for the future! Hmmm...

Shocking! and not in a good way. The only thing that makes me afraid of is I will probably sit through it at some point in my life.

Well the first one was pretty decent, so if that's anything to go by it should be a pretty alright film.
