First clip of Brad Pitt in Killing Them Softly

"Have you ever killed anyone?"

In the absence of a trailer, this'll be the first glimpse for many at Brad Pitt's ace new Cannes-impressing thriller, Killing Them Softly.

The latest film from director Andrew Dominik (The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford), Killing Them Softly (formerly known as Cogan's Trade) sees Pitt as an oily mob enforcer, out to sort out two lowlifes who ripped off a high-stakes gambling den.

This clip gives the new title some context, as Pitt's Jackie Cogan discusses his preferring method of offing targets.

It's a brief clip, but it holds promise of another superb Pitt performance, as well as more goodness from the most reliable supporting man in the business, Richard Jenkins.

Anytime I see Jenkins I just envision him being a dinosaur in Step Brothers.
