Director Cameron Crowe has offered up the first few official stills from his new movie We Bought A Zoo.

The adaptation of Benjamin Mee’s memoir stars Matt Damon as Ben, a man who moves his family to the countryside in order to oversee the running of a zoo.

Though these shots don’t give away much, one of them is a fun sepia shot of the cast (including Almost Famous’ Patrick Fugit, now with added mullet), while the other a shot of the Mee family that’s just pretty to look at.

Of the first image, Crowe jests: “Sometimes life looks like an album cover.”

We Bought A Zoo opens 23 December.

Can't wait for this film to be released. I'm a bit disappointed that they moved the setting to California, but i'm a huge fan of Cameron Crowe, and Matt Damon is the perfect choice to play Mee, so its going to be great. This looks like being one for all the "uncools" out there :-)
