A first image has arrived online from swords and sandals sequel Wrath Of The Titans, and my, hasn’t Perseus got curly hair?
The new image comes courtesy of Entertainment Weekly and shows Sam Worthington as the aforementioned hero, looking as badass as ever with a weapon in each hand and his face set to “snarl”.
The new film is directed by Battle Los Angeles’ Jonathan Liebesman, and will follow Perseus’s journey into the underworld, where Hades (Ralph Fiennes) has got his father Zeus (Liam Neeson) held captive.
And according to Liebesman, the trident you can see Worthington clutching in the picture below will also be crucial to the plot.
The trident will be one of several celestial weapons Perseus must collect, “in order to create an uber-weapon,” says Liebesman. “But that’s probably a massive spoiler. I haven’t practiced being spoiler-proof yet!”
Wrath Of The Titans opens in the UK on 30 March 2012.

(@writerdave- HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.) Oh my goodness, if this one flubs up basic mythology as badly as the first, I will fling myself off of a cliff. Which is why I won't watch it.

@FBALee From what I've read, it's got Perseus in a battle against the Minotaur. That tells you everything you need to know.

I hope they drop the stupid glowing armor for the gods, Zeus is suppose to be rocking a toga not some polished medieval knights outfit.
