You all know how much we love Duncan Jones' Moon. So the chance to see the tiniest snippet from his next film, Mute, has us giddier than 17 Twilight-obsessed schoolgirls on a Team Edward pilgrimage.
And this concept art - dug up by the Slash Film lads at Jones' Liberty Films site - has a distinct Blade Runner feel to it, which isn't all that shocking considering Jones' love for the film and Mute's future noir tone.
The plot finds a mute bartender searching for his girlfriend, who has been abducted by forces unknown. But the big villains of the piece - likely tied to her disappearance - are apparently a comedy double act.
Mitchell & Webb as villains, anyone? Okay, maybe not.
Still, we're eager for Jones to get cracking early next year on his story, set in a futuristic Berlin, which he's penned with regular co-writer Mike Johnson.
Moon was the work of a filmmaker to watch. Hopefully Mute will keep the faith…
