First official look at Prince Of Persia

Jake Gyllenhaal cuts a swathe

The first official pic of Jake Gyllenhaal in Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time has been shoved online.

While we've seen pics of Gyllenhaal in character and costume before, this comes courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, where the actor is also talking up the role.

According to the thesp, he threw himself into the action.

I'm tired of taking myself so seriously," he says. "It's nice when a stuntman turns to you and is like, 'Actors don't normally do this.'"

We just hope he doesn't bruise easily...

Prince Of Persia will arrive next summer, but what we really want is a proper trailer for this thing.

Agree with #1. Could he look less Persian? This is pretty much on a par with Anthony Hopkins wearing boot polish to play Othello.

yes, because a persian actor would a. sell the film and b. be more fun to watch killing persians in glorious ways than jake gyllenhaal
