First posters for Henry Cavill's Immortals land online

The mythical epic gets some intriguing promo shots

A whole bunch of Immortals posters have landed at Fandango.

The Tarsem Singh-directed movie is an ultra-stylised take on the legends of Greek mythology, and it's bound to attract the plenty of attention as it stars soon-to-be-Superman Brit actor Henry Cavill as Theseus.

That said, the rest of the cast ain't looking too shabby, with Mickey Rourke playing villain King Hyperion and Freida Pinto as priestess Phaedra.

The posters don't shy away from the 300 connection, but here's hoping Immortals has a little more substance than that Zack Snyder comic adaptation.

The one-sheets below feature Cavill as Theseus, Luke Evans (Tamara Drewe, The Three Musketeers) as a disconcertingly young Zeus, and Kellan Lutz as Poseidon, and there's a couple more over at Fandango.

Immortals will be released in 3D on 11 November 2011.

Excited about Immortals, or are you thinking that this'll be another case of style over substance? Let us know below…

Looks like The Immortals might be what I expected from Clash Of The Titans, an entertaining swords and sandals epic.

"as a disconcertingly young Zeus" I always wonder about this, why should an immortal god look middle aged or old? I I were a god I'd stay young, I can do what I like!

Fab-U-lous! Looks worth viewing just for the artwork! I love classical films - only hope that they don't spoil it all with modern-day social engineering for kids(eg. "Clash of the Titans" was used to give a clumsy excuse for absent parenting at the end).
