The Master, the forthcoming drama from P.T. Anderson, has released a first trailer in which a slightly raddled-looking Joaquin Phoenix answers a series of questions from a military psychologist.
The new film, which is Anderson's first in five years, is set in the '50s, and tells the story of a charismatic intellectual known as "the Master" (played by Phillip Seymour Hoffman), whose cult-like organisation begins to soar in popularity across the United States.

Absolutely all over that when it comes out! A film from Señor Anderson is long overdue! Rather he takes his time though than churn out pure toilet once a year!! Big Tingz!!

Agreed. Oscars now please. This gives away nothing, but has an air of total menace, and evokes a time period perfectly. PT Anderson remains one of the most interesting directors working today.
