A first trailer has emerged for the Farrelly Brothers’ take on The Three Stooges, and it probably won’t do much for those who think Moe, Larry and Curly should be left the hell alone…
The Farrellys have been scheming to make a Stooges movie for years, with Jim Carrey, Benicio Del Toro and Sean Penn initially rumoured to be starring. Instead, we’ve ended up with Chris Diamantopoulos, Sean Hayes and Will Sasso.
Take a look at the slapstick extravaganza below…
What strikes us as odd about this is the weird marriage between old-school clowning and overtly sexual humour. A poke in the eye? Fine. A large-breasted nun in a bathing costume? Er… ok?
The film is set to contain a host of famous cameos from the likes of Larry David, Jennifer Hudson and Jane Lynch. Unfortunately, the one featuring Jersey Shore’s Snooki Polizzi is the one given top billing by the trailer.
The Three Stooges is released in the UK on 4 May 2012. We won't hold our breath...

Does this look like a horrendous parody of a much-loved comedy institution? Or do you reckon it looks alright? Tell us, please!

If it weren't for the awful Snooki cameo or the achingly forced ultra modern jokes or the stupid sexual humour, maybe it'd be a good family movie? Maybe?

I like the episode in The Simpsons where Moe slaps a line of Curlys outside the curling trials. "Oh wiseguys eh?" . That was ten times more funnier than anything this poor excuse for a 'comedy' could shat out...

Well now we know why Jim Carrey, Benicio Del Toro and Sean Penn didnt bother with the movie in the end. That looks truly embarrassing. And then they through in that c**t-bag Snookie as the icing on this disgusting cake.

What makes these three poor excuses of comedic talent think they can recreate classic humour? Who's going to try and pull off Laurel and Hardy?

Take one skinny black guy, who sees the world for what it truly is, give him every addiction under the sun so the combination of knowledge and being off his tree makes him a comedy genius then let him loose upon the stand up circuit and Hollywood-World, sit back, enjoy the results ... try not to set fire to this one though.
