First trailer lands for V/H/S: Viral: watch now

"Welcome to the show"

The first official trailer has arrived online for V/H/S: Viral, the latest entry in the horror anthology series, and it's every bit as unhinged as you'd expect.

The new trailer provides a helpful summary of the first two films, before launching into a series of scream-filled snippets from the latest series of spooky stories.

This time out, the framing narrative revolves around a group of fame-hungry teens who find themselves the stars of a new internet sensation. What could possibly go wrong?

Take a look, below…

Pretty difficult to discern any plotlines for those individual vignettes then, but they all look splatter-filled enough to please fans of the first two films.

With segments directed by Nacho Vigalondo, Marcel Sarmiento, Gregg Bishop, Justin Benson and Todd Lincoln, V/H/S: Viral will open in the UK in 2015, with a specific release date to be confirmed.

What do you think of the new trailer? Tell us, below!

Am I the only person who has been underwhelmed by these movies? The first one was average, and the second just seemed to be trying to hard to be weirder than the first, although the Indonesian Cult people were pretty creepy until the end bit. Looks like part 3 is trying even harder to be weirder yet again. I'll probably give it a go as it'll probably be interesting to see what they do and how they carry out the first person view cameras but I won't be getting too excited bout this.

This looks just as good as the first two, hopefully better.

This looks good, enjoyed the first two. Bit different from what is out there currently.

Loved the first, absolutely terrifying. The 2nd was plain c**p and forgettable, apart from the cult segment, but that went completely off the rails in the end too. Hopefully this one will regain some of the formers nuance.
