First trailer lands for Wanderlust

Jennifer Aniston in funny film shocker

A first trailer has surfaced for Paul Rudd / Jennifer Aniston vehicle Wanderlust, and despite all our initial misgivings, it’s actually pretty funny.

Rudd and Aniston play a pair of jaded city-dwellers, who find themselves joining a community of free spirits when Rudd’s character gets the boot from his job. Take a look at the trailer below…

It certainly doesn’t look like your run of the mill Aniston rom-com, what with all the male nudity and toilet humour on display. That said, Rudd certainly seems to have bagged most of the best lines – “yes, we noticed your penis earlier,” being the pick of the bunch.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Judd Apatow is on board in a production capacity, whilst David Wain (the man behind the camera on Role Models) gets credits for both writing and directing.

Alan Alda, Ray Liotta and Justin Theroux are all among the supporting cast, while Malin Akerman takes on an eye-catching role as a free-love advocating member of the Elysium commune.  The film lands in the UK on 2 March 2012.

Are you sold on the Aniston / Rudd team-up? Or does The Object Of My Affection cast too long a shadow? Thoughts please!
