Five new posters for Star Trek Into Darkness

Harrison, Kirk, Spock, Uhura, and the Enterprise

Star Trek Into Darkness has released a quintet of new posters, including four character posters featuring Kirk, Uhura, Spock and the villainous John Harrison.

Instead of the usual bland headshots you get for blockbuster character posters, these four show the key characters in action, and all looking distinctly anxious.

All except for Spock that is, who looks positively euphoric as he stands amid what looks like a shower of sparks in his shiny new space suit.

Plus, there's also a new poster featuring a blazing Starship Enterprise heading for a crash landing (via iTunes Movie Trailers).

Directed by J.J. Abrams and co-starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana and Benedict Cumberbatch, Star Trek Into Darkness opens in the UK on 9 May 2013.

Take a look at the new posters, below:

The Enterprise has never looked so much like a pizza cutter. (Think I'll buy one of those)

That last one of the Enterprise falling in orbit ... very, VERY similar to Iron Man 3 and Tony's freefall .... just saying
