He’s been sneaking out tiny fragments of the film in progress via those Set To Screen podcasts, but now Baz Luhrmann is ready give us all a proper look at his new romantic epic, Australia.
Set shortly before World War Two, the story – recounted by Kidman in the trailer – finds her inheriting a sprawling ranch and forming a pact with a rough-riding stock man (Hugh Jackman) to protect her property and livestock from a takeover bid. Oh, and experiencing the Japanese bombing of Darwin first hand.
It’s suitably lush and sweeping and Apple has it up at their site.
