Gary Oldman has joined the cast of Albert and Allen Hughes’ Book Of Eli, which already stars Denzel Washington.
The post-apocalyptic tale finds a lone warrior (Washington) trying to bring society the knowledge that could set it back on track.
Oldman reports Variety, will be slipping into villainous mode to play the despot who wants the get his hand on the titular book.
The Hughes brothers are finally making their return to cinema following From Hell with the drama, which will start shooting this February in New Mexico.
They’ve already been set a release date (at least across the pond): January 15th, 2010. So no pressure, boys…
