Way back in October 2007, The Hollywood Reporter logged that George Clooney’s Smokehouse Productions had nabbed the rights to Olen Steinhauer’s novel The Tourist, which finds a spy battling against a huge conspiracy and finding himself framed for a murder he didn’t commit.
Now Warner Brothers – which picked up the film – has set Anthony Peckham to direct the movie and Clooney is seriously considering it as a possible starring vehicle. Variety is checking the story.
