After seemingly decades in development, Warners’ Justice League film is well and truly on the backburner – and now director George Miller has left the film.
Appearing on an Australian morning talk show, Miller confirmed that he’s no longer involved as either a director or producer.
According to him, he expects the project to be recast, since “the studios seem to want bigger stars in their superhero movies now."
Gibson
As for Miller, he doesn’t have solid plans for his next move (besides a few developmental irons in the fire, such as the Happy Feet sequel) but he does want to find a way to work with Mad Max star Mel Gibson again.
But while they’ll likely find a way to make something happen, don’t hold your breath for the Max script Miller wrote a while ago – he’s not planning to make it.
