First on-location photos of Ritchie's adaptation

All-new photos of Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes adaptation have appeared online, revealing Robert Downey Jr. in costume for the first time.

The movie, currently shooting on the streets of London, promises to be a new take on the infamous detective and is based on a comic book written by Lionel Wigram. Jude Law, Kelly Reilly, Mark Strong and Rachel McAdams will also star.

Expect the movie to be released sometime next year. In the mean time, check out the gallery to the right.
