Godzilla producer discusses new 3D film

Expect a monster-on-monster smackdown

Godzilla

Godzilla is wending his way back to the big screen for a Hollywood reboot, and producer Brian Rogers has promised that this new monster tale will not repeat the mistakes of Roland Emmerich’s ’98 misfire.

Talking with website Bleeding Cool, Rogers revealed that the new movie, a live-action flick to be shot in 3D with a CGI Godzilla, should hit cinemas and IMAX in 2012.

Rogers adds that Legendary Pictures, the studio behind the big budget reboot, “seemed to be the perfect home” for the new movie.

Most interestingly, though, the producer compares the film to Batman Begins in terms of the overhaul they're aiming for, while stating that “there will be other monster, or monsters, that Godzilla will fight”.

So glad they have slated Emmerich, A new godzilla should be good. Aslong as it stays away from Emmerichs T-Rex in New York it should be a good watch.
