Two words guaranteed to get people to a casting call, no matter how dodgy the premise of the flick sounds…Ben Stiller.
Carla Gugino, she of Sin City and Spy Kids fame, is in final talks to hook up with Mr Ben for 20th Century Fox’s Night At The Museum. As we previously revealed, the movie centres on a bumbling security guard who inadvertently unleashes an ancient curse that brings the display animals to life (natch).
Filming is slated to kick off next month in Vancouver and the movie is scheduled for release late this year. 1492 Productions’ Chris Columbus and Michael Barnathan are producing alongside the film’s helmer Shaun Levy, who recently lensed, er, Steve Martin’s Cheaper By The Dozen 2. Still, don’t let that worry you: our Online Ed loved it (bless her, she’s been working in the basement far too long…).
