Gus Van Sant's next flick goes Apatow

Some pictures from Gus Van Sant's Milk have gone live and they make the flick look a lot more fun than the one we were expecting. Check them out in the gallery to your right.

The film covers the true story of California's first openly gay elected official, Harvey Milk, who was tragically assassinated a year after taking office.

But if the plot seems serious the stills certainly aren't, looking more like the latest Judd Apatow flick than the kind of poe-faced films Van Sant's been making recently.
