Spider-Man 3’s cast continues to grow. And with each new announcement, it gets that little bit more exciting. The latest news? Bryce Dallas Howard is joining the Spider-cast. And she’s playing Gwen Stacey.
Arguably among the most beloved of the comic book characters, Gwen Stacey is well known as a love interest for Peter Parker – and as one of the more tragic characters of the Spider-comics. Her death at the hands of the Green Goblin sent shockwaves through the fan community.
There’s no word on exactly what her plotline will be in the film – Raimi and his writers don’t exactly follow the plotline of the comic verbatim, but expect plenty of romantic complications for Peter (Tobey Maguire) and Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst). But fans can be assured of one thing – Arad confirms that the redheaded Howard will be getting a blonde dye job to play the platinum Gwen...
