Hank Azaria gets Outsourced

The Simpsons star is directing his first film

Hank Azaria, best known for providing a myriad of voices for cartoon behemoth The Simpsons, is occasionally seen in front of the camera. But now he’s stepping behind it for a comedy. He has some experience at least – he has already directed a short starring Grey’s Anatomy’s Ellen Pompeo and Maria Bello.

Outsourced follows what happens when an American factory is shut down and all the jobs sent to Mexico. Two of the plant’s original workers head south of the border to reclaim their jobs.

It’s been in development for a while- at one point, Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn were attached – but Azaria will need to find a new cast.
