If it were possible to buy tickets for a movie before it had even been written, then this puppy would be on the TF wish list...

Napoleon Dynamite star Jon Heder has signed up to star in a flick about a skinny sumo wrestler who competed in the US Sumo Open. Torn from the pages of GQ magazine, the movie will be based on reporter Joshua Davis' exploits as revealed in his article Supersize Me: The Hard-Won Wisdom Of A 134-Pound Sumo Warrior.

20th Century Fox have recently acquired the services of Wedding Crashers scribblers Steve Faber and Bob Fisher to pen the comedy about the lightest man to ever compete in the Sumo Open.

If all goes well, Fox have plenty more subject matter to draw on as Davis has also endured bizarre physical punishment by competing at bullfighting, arm wrestling, and backward running – all is revealed in his book The Underdog: How I Survived The World’s Most Outlandish Competitions. What a kook...

No director is attached as of yet… keep those peepers aimed at totalfilm.com for updates...
