The Highlander franchise seems to have been running for decades and spawned enough sequels to fill a movie marathon.
But now, instead of announcing Highlander 73: Sanatogen Warriors, Summit Entertainment has revealed that it will instead remake the first film.
You remember it, right (Though some of you reading this may not have been born)? A couple of immortals battling to see who can be the last remaining because there can be only one? Well, now Summit plans to expand the scope of the first film’s story, and has hired Iron Man writers Art Marcum and Matt Holloway to script it.
