Since learning that Dustin Hoffman will stick to his current comedy revival for Father Knows Less – a tale of a successful businessman shattered when his young trophy wife leaves him, turning to his grown-up kids for advice – we’ve been feeling good about the idea.
Now comes word that Charles Shyer, who wrote and directed Jude Law in the Alfie remake, is on board. And that’s where we start to worry. Alfie didn’t exactly deliver. Shyer did, however, bring us both Father Of The Bride movies.
Okay, now we’re really worried… Still, let’s not judge before the movie’s even (re)written.
