Hugh Jackman turns down the Oscars

They're going to need a new host...

If you were willing to bet Hugh Jackman would be stepping back up to the podium next Oscar night after his successful first year, be ready to lose money.

The speculation on who will actually be perfuming host duties in 2010 has been rampant, with Jackman's name near the top of the list since he actually managed to raise the ratings of the wheezing show horse this year.

But according to Variety, he's quietly let it be known that he's not ready to tackle another Oscars, what with starring on Broadway and gearing up to shoot Real Steel early next year.

Where's that legendary healing power now, eh? Oh… right. Fictional.

So now we'll have to wait and see who incoming producers Bill Condon and Adam Shankman pick to hit the stage on 7th March.

And no, it won't be Ricky Gervais - he's got the Golden Globes… Zac Efron, PUT YOUR HAND DOWN!

  Quentin Tarantino! Aye right lol, imagine that, the ceremony would last for around 15 hours if he was set free on it. Realistically I would like to see maybe Will Smith or someone with similar stature who could keep the crowd entertained for the full ceremony without it dragging on too much, just like this comment is doing now......
