Human Centipede 2 trailer hits Australia

BBFC promotes sick filth

Say what you like about Human Centipede director Tom Six, but when life hands him lemons, he sure knows how to make lemonade.

Not that we'd drink it, mind you. It'd probably have wee in it. And maybe a bit of poo. But we're straying from the point.

A new Human Centipede 2 theatrical teaser has hit the internet and it positively revels in the harsh words handed out to it by the sound and reasonable minds at the BBFC.

Using their po-faced criticisms in the same way mainstream flicks use quotes from magazines (such as your friendly neighbourhood Total Film), Six proves he knows his audience.

They won't be put off by warnings such as "obscene" and "tasteless and disgusting."

In fact, they're precisely the kind of terms that'd get fans of the first film back into cinemas.

We're not sure how the BBFC feel about being used in this way, but we imagine there's a few sexual swearwords flying around the office today.

Watch the sound-effect heavy teaser below (targeted at the lucky Australian folk who get to see it uncut) and tell us what you think.

Sad you're missing out on seeing it? Or relieved? Tell us below!

Ok is it me or does the 1st guy (long curly hair) you see watching it look like he's knocking one out to the film?

Just you... clever stuff though, even though they do look like actors, acting makes me curious

@DuffyUK he is I think. it's one of the reasons it's banned in the UK, because he gets sexually aroused over that kind of thing, and uses it as his sexual fantasy

ya i'm personally happy not to ever see it. this vid is pure promotion but i do believe that it's most likely highly disturbing. i saw the first one and i frickin hated it! i have a problem with horror that's just plain wrong and unnecessary. i like a good horror flick but it really is going to far. i don't think i'd like to meet anyone who actually enjoyed these films!!!

still glad i haven't seen the first one yet, this looks pretty bad but the thing that gets me most apparently is it says the release date is spring 2011, forgive me if i've accidently traveled backwards in time but last time i checked it's august 2011

Australian. Ergo, luckier than you all. Cinema release? As much as I don't like the idea of the film, I'll be there opening night for an absolutely unique experience. I'll let you all know what it's like. From the actual cinema.

Well one of the scenes that got it banned is when the guy rapes the girl at the back of the human centipede with barbed wire wrapped round his d!ck,that seems pretty f**k3d up to me!

I wouldn't watch either of these sick films if they paid me. Well, not unless it was enough money for me to give up working for a living.

The first Human Centipede is now on Syfy practically every week. I just can't fathom what the BBFC have decided is so horrific about its follow-up that justifies a total ban, and I bristle at the thought of what films I am or aren't allowed to see being decided by a bunch of folk who, and this is just a wild guess, are not the intended audience for this sort of film. I can't figure out where Six will go with the story, although it was alarming to hear a baby crying on that trailer (a baby centipede?) He might push boundaries but surely the likes of Antichrist have already kicked them a little further down the track. It's a horrible idea, but a surprisingly amusing film. Plus I couldn't help chuckling at the actors having to spend the majority of the film with their faces in each other's bums.

I made a human ladybird once, it was sweet, can get kites out of trees and everything! HA! Seriously, Six should do a Resident Evil film, but with the emphasis on dread and atmosphere.. like the first game (crazy I know!), or Clive Barkers The Thief of Always, I don't know I'm throwing things out there..

Since moving to Sydney from the UK im pretty shocked the Aussies let this one be released without any changes at all. I also wouldn't watch either of these films, or the above trailer, even if you paid me.

@dalidab1982, I have seen HC2 (fully uncut) and let me assure you, it is insanely explicit. There's stuff in there I'm amazed wasn't mentioned by the BBFC in their spoiler-fest write up. Still no reason to ban it, though, even though it is wall to wall, non-implied horror. The idea that we need the moral arbitration of a body such as the BBFC is insane. It's fiction, viewing is optional, person by person. It's just as bad as banning books.

Dalidab, you do realise this trailer was made by the people who made the film, don't you? They're not going to try and subliminally tell you to not see the film. The use of those quotes is just to publicise the horrific nature of the film, playing up on this film being 'the sickest film you'll ever see' b******t, something that Six has a talent of doing, despite all other directorial and storytelling talent lacking.
