I Dream Of Jeannie is one of those older US TV sitcom concepts that has been dawdling through development hell for years on its way to the big screen. In that time, several writers – including National Treasure team Cormac and Marianne Wibberley have taken a crack at the tale of the genie freed by an air force colonel and ends up marrying with comedy complications.
