Ice Age 4: Continental Drift sails into cinemas this week, and the marketing bods have just released The Dark Nut Rises, a teaser trailer that parodies a certain superhero franchise.
Much like The Scratist, which parodied the silent, black-and-white antics of The Artist, this trailer piggybacks the most-anticipated film of the summer with a well-played mickey-take.
The Ice Age franchise’s secret weapon – Scrat the sabretooth squirrel – stars as Scratman, which should be all the reason you need to get watching it now:
Ice Age 4: Continental Drift opens on 13 July 2012. The Dark Knight Rises follows one week later on 20 July 2012.

Meh, not as funny or clever as the Muppets parodies.

That was pretty funny. I hope there's a Scrat Doctor Who parody next.
