The first trailer has arrived online for home invasion thriller No Good Deed, in which Idris Elba stars as an escaped convict who sets about terrorising Taraji P. Henson's lone mother.
Arriving on the doorstep claiming car trouble in the middle of a wild and stormy night, Elba's character seems charming enough, but it isn't long before things take a turn for the menacing…
Using his hulking physical presence to supremely unsettling effect, this is a far cry from some of Elba's recent roles, and all the more effective because of it.

The film will see a reunion between Elba and director Sam Miller, who had worked with the star on a number of episodes of Luther, and looks to be a tight, taut little thriller.
Co-starring Leslie Bibb and Henry Simmons, No Good Deed will open in the UK on 31 October 2014.
