Is an Ant-Man movie around the corner?

Stan Lee seems to think so...

During one of his daily Tweeting sessions, comic creator Stan Lee has announced that Marvel is currently prepping an Ant-Man movie.

Apparently Edgar Wright is still attached to the project, after years spent developing it, and met with Lee recently to discuss the comic adaptation.

Both Lee and Wright confirmed their meeting via Tweets (Lee: “I had lunch with the cool, young director Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead) and, as you’d imagine, we had fun discussing the tiny hero…” Wright: “Sometimes you shouldn’t meet your heroes in case they disappoint. @smilinstanlee does not disappoint”).

So, now that Wright is almost free with Scott Pilgrim Vs The World hitting screens on 6 August, could he be pushing the production forward? No official word yet.

The character of Ant-Man first appeared in Marvel’s Tales To Astonish back in 1962, and became a recurring character in the comic. The main character, biochemist Henry Pym, discovers a formula that can shrink a human to the size of an insect.

What does one do when one discovers such a thing? Become a superhero, of course! More when we get it.

Going ant over this? Let us know below...
