Christopher Nolan could have just added another of his ‘ready on speed dial’ favourite actors to the cast of The Dark Knight Rises.
French newspaper Le Figaro report that their very own Marion Cotillard has signed on to the third (and seemingly final) Batman film.
Despite being due to give birth in May, Cotillard is apparently keen to work with her Inception director once more.
The shoot would certainly accommodate her, with Rises going in front of cameras from May to November this year.
Le Figario write: “The actress, who is expecting a child in the spring with Guillaume Canet, will be scarce this year. She’ll do a single film and her choice fell on Batman 3.”
Does this mean that Talia al Ghul will be making an appearance in the film after all? We can certainly see Cotillard taking on the role.
Considering how good Nolan’s been at making statements about his casting on Rises, we expect he’ll address this himself any day now.
The Dark Knight Rises opens 20 July, 2012.
