J.J. Abrams releases trailer for mystery project: watch now

Just what is this?

J.J. Abrams and his Bad Robot production team have released an enigmatic black and white trailer for a mysterious new project.

Supposedly going under the title Stranger, the trailer is just a minute long, comes with no title card, and basically gives away no plot details about the project whatsoever.

It's the very definition of a teaser.

Before we say anymore, check out the trailer below…

Well, yes. What was that, then?

Though it opens with a shot of stars, it's pretty safe to assume that this has nothing to do with Star Wars: Episode VII, so could this be a new TV show produced by Abrams?

Or is it another top secret movie ala Cloverfield, which took the similar teaser-dump route.

Considering how secretive Abrams and his team are known to be, we'll probably just have to wait and find out…

Mr Abrams, there is a very thin line between getting people intrigued and simply being annoying with drip feed marketing...a very thin line!

at the end when it says 'soon he will know', the words vanish in the order of 'know he will soon'. isn't that how a famous green midget talks.

Didn't he do the same thing with Cloverfield? Just a teaser trailer of the party at the start, the crash downtown and the statues head landing on the street? I was thinking Starman (1984 Jeff Bridges). Then guy with the sewn up lips showed up at the end, who made me think of Deadpool from X-Men Origins - Wolverine. So could be interesting.

cant believe some people are complaining... all trailers should be like this... instead most give away crucial details and in some circumstances the entire plot. Tip of the hat to you JJ
