Jackass star Ryan Dunn dies in car crash

He was 34 years old

After making a career out of performing insane stunts, Jackass star Ryan Dunn sadly passed away after a car accident in the early hours of Monday 20 June 2011.

It was fellow Jackass star Bam Margera’s mother April Margera who confirmed Dunn's death.

The crash occurred on Route 322 and New Street, Pennsylvania, where the car allegedly hit a tree and burst into flames. Another unidentified passenger was also killed.

Jackass co-stars and close friends have been expressing their devastation on Twitter. Johnny Knoxville tweeted: "Today I lost my brother Ryan Dunn.

"My heart goes out to his family and his beloved Angie. RIP Ryan , I love you buddy."

He will no doubt be missed, though a certain prank involving a toy car ensures he'll never be forgotten.

Which Jackass stunt will you remember Dunn for?

Its not like we lost a gandhi or Mandela. The guy was acting like a tw@t speeding in his expensive car and as a result caused the death of not only himself but his passenger as well. F**k him.

The usual childish and unpleasant comments from badger86. The comments section on this website really is the dregs these days.

Not really, he drove drunk at 100mph and wrapped his car round a tree, killing himself and his passenger. Badger's got it right- f**k him. He could have just as easily ploughed into a car full of kids. Selfish prick won't get any sympathy from me.

@Slattery i really didn't think i post enough to be told i have a 'usual' comment style. And childish, really? I just don't think we should look kindly on people who injure themselves or others through irresponsible behaviour like speeding. I always thought of that as quite a sensible point of view.

If clooney, Kilmer, or Shatner died drunk driving at that speed, killing their passenger, I'd have the same reaction.

Strangely enough, the passenger who also died was Zachary Hartwell, who happens to be a stuntcar driver.

yeah everyone who is saying they don't care can shut the hell up yes he wasn't doing the right thing at the time of his death, but you don't disrespect the dead, his family, friends and fans by calling him an idiot and a "t**t" a couple of hours after his death you don't deserve to have an opinion
