Jaden Smith tests Newton's Law

A new movie for Will’s boy

After charming the world with his adorable moppet act alongside dad Will Smith in The Pursuit Of Happyness, over-named child actor Jaden Christopher Syre Smith (bet he has fun filling in forms) has landed his first leading role at the tender age of eight.

His first step on a Dakota Fanning-like plot for world cuteness domination is Newton’s Law, which finds a precocious child inventor trapped in a science museum during a field trip.

The script’s been penned by Carolyn Brooks who previously paid the rent creating visual effects for the likes of Garfield and The Chronicles Of Riddick. Let’s hope her writing’s better…

There’s no director attached yet, but thanks to Smith sr’s clout, Sony will produce and distribute the movie, which kicks off shooting in June.
