Jake Gyllenhaal gets creepy in new Nightcrawler trailer: watch now

“I’m looking for a job…”

The first full trailer has arrived online for offbeat thriller, Nightcrawler, in which Jake Gyllenhaal stars as Louis Bloom, an unsettling young man growing increasingly desperate to get his foot on the career ladder.

Deciding that the media would be the field to which he is best suited, Bloom begins to embark down the shady path of freelance crime reporting in some of LA’s seedier districts.

However, not every reporter can find himself first on the scene at enough crimes to sustain regular employment… not without making things happen for himself, that is.

Take a look at the new trailer, below…

Employing some of the same dialogue used in the recent viral teaser, the new trailer shows off just enough of Gyllenhaal’s dark side to get us good and intrigued, Now, remind us again of the first step to winning the lottery?

Directed by Dan Gilroy and co-starring Rene Russo, Bill Paxton and Riz Ahmed, Nightcrawler will open in the UK on 14 November 2014.

"You have to make the money to buy the ticket!!" This just sends chills all over! That it's Dan Gilroy's directorial debut has me intrigued. Can the screenwriter from the Bourne and Real Steel blockbusters direct a worthy crime thriller with a darker, 20 pound lighter Gyllenhaal at the helm? If the trailer is anything to go by, I think he may have done just that. Even the poster is beautifully executed. I'm getting a real neo-noir vibe very much like a James Ellroy novel. Just waiting for the moody saxophone to kick in. I think if anything we may have a new cult classic on our hands and I am damn excited.
